Our service is run by a small team of volunteers who are friendly, good listeners and genuinely want to make a positive difference to people going through a tough time.
A volunteer’s role is simple yet incredibly effective: to create a space for individual to feel heard, valued and understood.
“We are always looking for volunteers who can provide at least an hour a week of support to our clients, especially face to face. This could be meeting someone in a local café for a coffee and a chat or maybe a walk and talk at a local park. Or maybe you’d like to facilitate one of our coffee afternoons? If you’ve got the time we’d love to hear from you. Previous lived experience of suicidal thoughts or emotional/mental distress is always desirable but not essential. Full training is provided.”
