What We Do
ROFMH offers a variety of support for those struggling with suicidal thoughts. We host coffee afternoons in Grays, Westcliff and Heybridge, these are facilitated by a trained volunteer who either has their own lived experience of mental health problems, has supported someone close to them with suicidal thoughts or sadly might have lost someone to suicide. We offer over the phone befriending support with a trained volunteer, again all of whom have their own lived experience. In February 2023 we were proud to announce we have become a placement provider for a number of trainee counsellors across Essex which means we can provide you with up to 12 weeks of FREE counselling.
What Can I Expect?
We offer an opportunity to talk in confidence, with a friendly, trained local person.
We won’t pressure you to talk and you don’t have to pretend that everything is fine if it isn’t.
How Do I Get Started?
Please call 07308 069 609 and speak with our Service Coordinator, Karen. She’ll have a chat with you, find out more about your situation and together you can make a decision about what you feel is best for you.
