You can make a difference!
Reach Out for Mental Health is a suicide prevention service which offers an opportunity for people to just talk about what they are going through.
This could be due to recent events or things from the past. We know that talking can be difficult at times. We also know talking really helps.
Our service is run by a small team of volunteers who are friendly, good listeners and genuinely want to make a positive difference to people going through a tough time.
A volunteer’s role is simple yet incredibly effective: to create a space for individual to feel heard, valued and understood.
We are currently offering a phone, text and email support service to anyone over 18 living in Thurrock. No experience is required as full training is given.
We provide mobile phone and credit. You will receive weekly group reflection sessions (optional) and monthly group clinical supervision (mandatory).
We ask for a minimum commitment of 3 hours per fortnight.
This role isn’t for everyone, but if you think it’s for you please contact us on 07898 220384 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
